The color theory readings were very interesting by not only reading about color combinations but also visually seeing the examples of how colors work together. For the most part I was familiar with how color theory worked but there were a few terms that were new for me, such as aggressive (or warm) and passive (or cool). I already knew the warm and cool effects on color but knowing another term for them will be helpful if I ever come across them.
A key element of Goethe’s Color Theory that I found important is the perception of the view. I thought this was important because there are people who are color blind and do not see the same color as the majority of people. It is interesting that we all have the cones and rods that allow us to see color but we all do not have the same perception. What may seem more blue to me may seem more green to another person. It’s all about perspective.
